Heart of Oak

This book cleverly chronicles the life of an oak tree over its lifespan of about 900 years. Along with the chronicle, the reader is introduced to several people who lived alongside the oak through the ages. Their bloodline, hopes, dreams and occupation are all divulged, and particularly the people who seem to be able to “communicate” with the oak. It sounds outlandish but as I mentioned it is clever and well worth the read.
