Ben has been sent to live with his Dad and Step-Mother. She is physically abusive and Ben becomes an angry boy and gets in trouble all the time until he meets Tracey, who he is almost instantly in love with. When he goes to school one day with the evidence of the abuse in plain view, Tracey is upset and tells her Mom. That changes his whole life in a good way.
