Excellent Read
Spooky from the beginning, the story takes you on a bit of a roller coaster ride. The story is set in the 1970’s and definitely reflects its age, but in an appropriate way. Definitely depicts sexuality in a more prudish way than a modern story. There are some classic moments of misdirection and although the characters are somewhat two dimensional, it has a satisfying and logically written conclusion. Overall, I enjoyed the spooky atmosphere; although I wouldn’t call it scary or frightening, Hell House is an excellent read.
