A woman psychologist loses her husband in an intifada killing and donates the organs to various people, including the heart to a Palestinian Arab. Remaining unmarried and childless, she gets a new cleaning man through a service that employs newly-arrived Russians, who is both mute and deaf. While probing into his past, she discovers that he is an American Vietnam-era soldier who defected to Russia and who came to Israel under the right of return
