Herding Into Love

Evelyn usually didn't mind her company's volunteer mandate, even if she thought Giving Tuesday was a made-up holiday. But she dreaded that the animal shelter was the only option left. There was no way she wanted to go there. Not so soon after Coco.

Gil wanted a dog but his apartment complex didn't allow pets. When he saw the families pick out a dog from the shelter, he wondered what it would be like to pick out a dog with a girlfriend. Then again, to do that, he'd need to actually have a girlfriend.

Two people, aimlessly wandering. But sometimes, people need a little herding to get where they want to go.
