Heroes Destroy the World

Fifteen-year-old John Abbott can raise the dead. No one else has witnessed this, though, and he can’t find the nerve to tell anyone. Eventually, he discovers other people like him, all have cancers that fuel their abilities, ranging from electricity control to toxin-emitting pores, but the more they use those abilities the more their tumors grow, which leads to a shortened life.
