That scientist being a recognised genius and certifiable sociopath with no qualms when it comes to using that genius to modify the natives and her fellows from earth in a way that makes them more… ACCEPTABLE …to her.

Acceptability that will ensure a life of service for the hapless male-survivor the remainder of whose life she considers will best be spent as both pet and beast-of-burden.
