Leah Giancarelli makes balancing her new role as a widowed mom look easy, but she’d have crumbled if not for her late husband’s best friend, Marcus. She has her issues with HORNET, an elite hostage rescue team—she lost her husband after he accompanied them on their last mission—but Marcus has always been by her side, a strong shoulder to lean on…
Until, after one impulsive kiss, he’s so much more.
Eaten alive by guilt, Marcus takes off, leaving both HORNET and Leah behind. Alone is easier. Safer. Because his feelings for Leah are all kinds of wrong, the worst kind of betrayal, and he can’t trust himself not to act on them.
But Danny’s death was only the beginning. Whoever hired the hitman is looking for something. And worse, they’re certain Leah is the key…and now they’ll kill to know more.

Customer Reviews
4 1/2 Stars for this fast-paced romance,
Leah's husband died while he was on a mission with the HORNET
team and she blames them for this death. And especially her husband's best friend Marcus ... as the bullet was meant for him. Almost a year later when Leah is trying to rebuilt her life for her children, she is the target of an attack and the only person she knows will help her is Marcus. Marcus has been hiding in Indonesia surfing and drinking since his best friend died ... on his watch. He can't face Leah and the kids knowing he let them down. But when Leah finds him and asks for his help, he can't deny her or his growing feelings for her. Will they be able to accept their feelings for each other as they run for their lives?
This book just grabbed me from the beginning and didn't let me go till the end. It's full of adventure, suspense, drama and romance! I felt so sorry for Marcus because he was so caught up in his grief for his best friend that he lost himself. I loved how Leah was strong enough to go to him for help even though he tried to push her away. A great addition to a great series that shouldn't be missed!
