Wonderful!
I read the original release by the fan-translation group, and now with this official version, the translation into English is even better (though I still think the city Van should be spelled Vannes like the fan-trans group did and former king Albert should be called Alberto, heh). It’s a great story, with lots of political intrigue starting up while a middle-ages-level kingdom gets a technological/political makeover as a guy from modern Japan gets summoned to another world as a Hero and finds himself their new king after the current king of Elfrieden abdicates. There’s plenty of budding romance too with cute girls and other interesting characters. In the midst of all this, this alternate world is in the midst of a terrible war against the territory of the Demon Lord and most of the other nations have joined together to fight back against them. Also going on is a food revolution thanks to the new king (since the kingdom is suffering a food shortage), and he brings in new people to join the civil service in an attempt to modernize the kingdom with talented professionals of all kinds. Enjoy the fun and the intrigue. And by the way, in *Volume 2*, the war against the neighboring country of Amidonia heats up, with interesting political things going on behind the scenes. Look forward to it when it becomes available (or you can ready the fan translations if they’re still available before future volumes get licenced by the publisher).
