OMG… Eli… Swoon…
Penelope sees her ex in their local dive bar - to maintain face, she turns to the hot guy beside her and asks him to pretend to be her fake boyfriend. Eli is the hot bad boy beside her, and these two set off first alarms when they hit the dance floor… and then the bed… and then the kitchen counter… Wow, Eli is good for a girl’s self-confidence, I loved how brave Penny was with Eli, voicing her desires. These two may be Silver Springs hottest couple to date (both steam and tears were produced) - I just loved this book.
From fake relationship to forever
From fake relationship to forever. This book gave me so many of the things I love to read: a military hero, a fake relationship with too much chemistry not to be real, a sassy feisty heroine I could connect with, and a cat with so much personality he stole the show. I adored seeing the way Penny and Eli came together, particularly the way they handled her terrible ex. There was a little bit of an ‘opposites attract’ vibe between them since they wanted such different things from their lives, except, at the heart of who they are there was actually a lot of similarities. Jam was my absolute favorite character. It might be because I’m a cat person, however I tend to think it’s because he was just such an awesome creature. I may have only just finished reading this book, but I’m already itching to get my hands on whatever’s going to come next in the series. (And it breaks my heart to think that we’re almost to the end of it.)

Everything a romance should be
What a lovely story, so full of emotion. It was funny and sweet and sad and heart wrenching. I cried through a chapter but then the ending was so lovely and perfect I cried happy tears. Two people with the same views come together for a one night stand. Steamy and so hot they can’t keep their hands off each other but is it enough to keep them together or does love make everything different. Great read.
