Silent as shadows, dark as night….

It was the only way to describe the Black Friars, who must have been the ones to kidnap Talia from their otherwise peaceful village. . . even if no one has ever actually seen them before.

Shane is determined to retrieve the missing girl, his best friend since childhood, but since he's never left the security of Farmingham himself, he doesn't have the slightest idea of where to begin. From there, Shane embarks upon his quest in the company of the roguish Gramlin, eager to pursue the Black Friars and rescue his dearest friend, but can Shane manage to navigate the pitfalls and obstacles that Fate, and a rather mischievous demon, throw his way?
