I Am . . . I Can: The Turtle addresses shyness and how difficult it is for shy children to relate to the world around them. They often hide inside themselves or, as in the turtle example, “hide inside their shell.” I feel that this book, with the phenomenal and comical illustrations of our shy turtle, will bring children with this problem a little closer to the surface of their fear.
