Everyone has seen lions living in a city zoo behind a protective enclosure. Pictures in books show snarling lions. Lions are shown roaming African deserts. There are movies showing lions crouching, ready to leap at unsuspecting prey. Powerful lion prides have lived in African deserts for many years. A pride is a group of lions that live and work together for the whole group.
