I Just Kept Building

I Just Kept Building is John, Pop Alexander’s warm and humorous collection of stories about family, work, travel, close calls, and the projects that shaped his life. From childhood forts and cabin repairs to restaurants, homes, business ideas, bourbon trails, and sailing adventures, John looks back with honesty, gratitude, and plenty of laughter. A companion to Before I Became Pop, this book is ultimately less about what John built than the people who stood beside him—and the determination to keep moving forward whenever the plans fell apart.
