After suffering her first broken heart, Jacobson impulsively embarks on a solo cross-country road trip, reflecting on her anxious tendencies, sexual identity and rise to fame as the nation passes by. The comedian’s words and sketches throughout the book feel so intimate it’s as if she’s speaking directly to us. The end result is courageous, candid and—not surprisingly—hilarious.
