Everything's always working out for Abbey Rhodes… until a traumatic incident forces the aspiring music journalist to walk away from her dream job. While drowning her sorrows in new CDs, she makes a spur-of-the-moment decision and applies at her favorite electronics store. To her surprise, she loves retail, especially talking about music and movies all day. There's just one problem: Her demanding new boss, Wil, is the same deliciously handsome guy she met at a concert the same night she left the newspaper—and who made her heart swizzle. Now he's grumpy and treating her like any other employee, and she'll never know if he could have been something more. 

Jefferson A. Wilshire IV wants one thing: to prove to his father, the founder and CEO of Hometown Electronics, that he's cut from the same cloth as his overachieving siblings and not their absent mother. But earning the top spot at the company's flagship retail store will require overcoming a dismal evaluation and paying full attention to his job, not the bubbly new department supervisor who makes him laugh—and almost makes him think there might be more to life than P&L reports and planograms.

Only he can't seem to stop himself from gravitating toward Abbey—and she can't stop those swizzles whenever he's nearby. But when the secret Abbey's been hiding about her last job comes to light, and Wil's father pushes him a step too far, they need to decide if where they truly belong is together.
