If Tears Were Pennies

Between working at my family's store and growing my graphic design business, my life is scheduled to the minute. In my notebook. With stickers.

So why did I volunteer for the Oktoberfest planning committee? I have nothing to prove. Everyone in MacLeod's Cove knows I'm the scarred troublemaker who might be turning her life around but will probably screw up again.

Aren't small towns great?

Nate, one of the other volunteers on the committee, hires me to update the marketing for his craft brewery. Turns out he's not such a bad guy. His sweet smile and sexy arms make up for his need to be the boss of everything.  

But then I mess up, again, and give into temptation. Now Nate assumes we're dating. Heck, everyone in town thinks we're a couple. I'm not sure what we're doing but it's not a relationship because those take patience, which I don't have.

He can argue all he wants that he's strong enough to handle my quirks, but I know he's better off without me. We've gone from friends to lovers, and that may have been my biggest screw-up ever.
