Publisher Description

This is an illustrated translation of the Sixth Book of Homer’s Iliad

continuing the sequence of Books One to Five available as of August 2016.

While a battle rages on the plain between Troy and the sea, Hektor, the leader of the army of Trojans  and allies, returns to the city to get the women to sacrifice to the gods, asking them

to help in the battle with the Greeks. While there he also urges his brother Alexandros (aka Paris) to return to the battlefield to bring much needed assistance to the embattled army.

Alexandros needs little persuasion and is already preparing his weapons in order to arm himself.

Hektor then goes to find his wife Andro-makha and son Asty-anax. He eventually finds them near the main gates to the city and briefly talks to them before preparing to leave the city for the battlefield.

Alexandros joins him and they leave the city as the book ends.
