But he seems unwilling to act on their century-long tension—until they face a dire threat. Jumping between past and present, Sands blends paranormal elements with heart-pounding action and suspense. New readers will find Sands' Argeneau series easy to dive into, but some may find descriptions of Beth's mortal past as a sex slave too intense.

Not her best
This book was not her best. Story lacked something her other books have. Still I enjoyed the story, it was slow and a relaxing book.
