Brent, Albert's son, is dealing poorly with a troubling medical issue while fending off his father's attempts to get him married, but he takes time to befriend attractive Bethany, and they investigate the weird wall knocking together. They swiftly become realistically close through quirky, punny repartee and their mutual devotion to true crime stories. Though at first they both believe a romance is ill-advised, and several outside conflicts fling up barriers, openness prevails and intimate confessions result in an appealing, believable relationship. The mystery-sounds plot resolves more clumsily. Frame's charming, zany rom-com will appeal to fans of screwball comedies. (BookLife)

I love Mary Frame’s writing! She’s so good at bringing characters alive and vividly quirky. I have read a few of her books and she never disappoints!
Cute, funny, great
It’s a great book- cute, funny, light with plausible obstacles. The characters are great- nothing perfect and nothing overly gooey- all realistic.

I’ve loved all of Mary Frame’s books so far, but I can’t say which is my favourite. I’ll just have to read them all again. I love how her female characters are all “weirdos,” but they’re really just unique and real. Her Imperfect book series actually makes you feel like something like this could happen to you. You feel like someone actually could love you for all of who you are, quirks and everything. I’m so glad I found these books. And I’m glad I decided to email her. She really will write back! Our email conversations have been fun and so cool that someone I don’t know will take time out of their busy schedule to indulge me. Way to go Mary! You rock.
