Detective Troy Harbeson's transfer to a small coastal city from the back streets of Baltimore has been anything but peaceful. Immediately forced into the media spotlight by the serial slayings of local college coeds and the subsequent loss of a close and valued coworker, Harbeson and his new hometown have just begun to restore order. Father Ramon Hodina, like Harbeson, has been exorcising demons of his own. A former Recon Marine and Gulf War Veteran, Hodina has witnessed first-hand the bloodshed and pain suffered by the innocent. On the verge of healing, the town of Salisbury, Maryland is dragged into the headlines once more when a child becomes the unintended victim of a shooting and a jarring string of seemingly unrelated events leaves the town raw and bleeding.
