Include Me Out

"It wasn’t a political act. Not a protest against ‘the star system’ or anything like that. It wasn’t ideological or anti-capitalist. Nor anti-narrativist. I didn’t have a manifesto. It was more kind of, ‘include me out.’"


Include Me Out was commissioned by the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin for the publication accompanying the exhibition Alan Phelan: Fragile Absolutes. It was written using a process which included cutting-up, remixing and renarrativising fragments of a number of sources to create a completely new story. Full notes are included with the book.
