Neil, like every Electi, has spent his entire life on the island. Growing up in a primitive society of evolutionarily advanced humans is nothing short of brutal. And now, he’s doing it alone. Six months ago, Neil’s parents vanished without a trace. No one has ever disappeared from the island, there’s nowhere else to go. Attempting to leave would mean banishment to an endless horizon of open ocean.

At just nineteen, Neil must face the Calling - the island’s ritual for finding a life partner - while protecting his little sister, all on his own.

Nerves are high, and so are the stakes. The Calling, dictated by force and cunning, determines your partner for life. But with the mystery of his parents’ disappearance and a growing rivalry with the island’s thugs, Neil is about to be pulled into something far beyond his understanding.
