After a small team of Martian colonists, led by Vlad Karakov, returned to their home world to save survivors of a worldwide nuclear attack, Vlad decided he would remain on Earth to help the planet and bring those responsible for the destruction to justice. Unfortunately, it’s become increasingly difficult to tell friend from foe on the desolate planet.

As for the colony, the Phoenix crew arrived from Earth, merged with the colonists, and they all got to finishing the terraforming of the planet. That was all put on hold when a mysterious building and door were found, imbedded in the mountainside, just northwest of the colony. The colonists tried unsuccessfully for two weeks to get inside the sealed door, until one day, it opened up and someone walked out of it.

Now the secrets of two planets will be revealed as those that remain scramble to piece together the past to light the way to the future.
