Into the Field

The strange occurence that Pete and his friend Mike Standell had experienced as children had changed them forever, and the two of them had been sucked into a life that was on a level that didn't even register with others. Parting as children, it wasn't until years later that Mike Standell re-entered Pete Scanlon's life, but for what purpose? Was this still the childhood friend he recalled, or was there another reason for his reappearance? In our author's story "Into the Field", he relates the tale of these two special beings, who along with friend Dawson Penrod find themselves battling forces behind the scenes to protect this proprietary knowledge that the two men possess, the knowledge of "the field." The field....a name given to an earthly energy which constantly surrounds everyone....but it was having the ability to tap into it and use it's special properties that was different for Pete and Mike, an ability unknown by virtually all. It was when this particular special talent became known to others, certain nefarious people who would stop at nothing to attain it, that their live's were thrown into a tailspin. Both men knew that knowledge such as this cannot be suppressed forever, but in it's unveiling, who would pay the ultimate price for it's release?
