"God, I love Thorne! He's so ridiculously bad, yet vulnerable!" ~Romance Reviewer
Nadia thinks Thorne's just some killer. Well, he’s so deep undercover, he practically is.
Nadia fell for the most feared hitter on her late father’s payroll, but she’s not sorry; without Thorne she wouldn’t have their beautiful boy.
Now he’s burst back into her life after being gone for two years, arrogant and demanding, making himself right at home. She can’t let him figure out Benny is his…so she enlists a friend to play their son’s daddy.
Thorne knows exactly how Nadia sees him—as a brute and a killer willing to play her sexy games. And that’s how it has to stay. Leaving her way back when was the hardest thing he ever did, but it was the only way to protect her. Now his undercover mission has thrown them back together…and it drives him crazy to see her with another man…and another man’s baby.

“Into the shadows” (association) by Carolyn Crane
Overall, the story line is exciting. The beginning however, was quite confusing. Party Nadia is quite selfish and egotistical. It was very interesting how Thorne channels Bruce Lee. I can’t say I like how Nadia demeans Thorne as a way to get them both in the mood. It’s awful. In general, the book was cool though I enjoyed “Against the Dark” much better. In this story, there were A LOT of ridiculous things: 1) It’s seems quite unrealistic that Nadia would be skilled enough to do raids. 2) Nadia and Kara aren’t afraid to stay in the mansion and not get killed by mobsters? 3) Nadia cooks and prepares rooms for Thorne’s thugs? Seriously? 4) Where is Rufus staying? 5) Kara needs a spa day after babysitting Benny 24 hours? 6)Jerrod gets his gang donuts? Seriously? This story is almost a parody.
