The Christian J.R.R. Tolkien
First of all, Lord Of The Rings is epic because Tolkien did not disclose his religion. As the author of this book proclaims, you can write a good book with out moralizing about belief.
Second, it gives every reader of the trilogy a new insight into their reading experience. By the author’s own omission, Tolkien is able to show his story through the lens of struggle and personal experience, education, psychology and philosophy. To omit any label is prudent when writing fiction with vision and fantasy.
The best part about another book on Tolkien is more reading for the Tolkien fan, don’t let anyone’s belief system inhibit your curiosity or sway your own, unless you believe it can help rather than hurt.
