Jane Annie, or the Good Conduct Prize is a comic musical opera that was written in 1893. It presents the story of a young girl with the ability to hypnotize. Playing the role of a virtuous and kind person, she wins almost everyone's good will. However, as her true character is revealed, she is forced to hypnotize people in order to get her way.
