This book lends a detailed history of the city of Jerusalem and its relation to Christianity and the Crusades. Author Estelle Blyth gives wonderful geographical details of the city as well as great background information on the city before the Crusaders. The chapter that tells of the city's role in the Third Crusade begins on page 168.
