Joe Cocker was one of the greatest British rock and blues performers ever. He came to fame in the 1960s; He was notorious for his unique stage presence, his spasmodic body movement, gritty vocals, playing air guitar, and his unique cover versions of well-liked songs, mainly those of the Beatles. During his life he won many awards which included an OBE from Buckingham Palace, for services to music.
