JUMP is an edge-of-your seat thriller that will have you hooked until the very last page.
The unnamed protagonist of this novel knows nothing of his own identity. He's a presence who moves from host to host, helping people through times of extreme duress and hardship before moving on again. This time, he finds himself in Boston, where his host is Jeremy Roberts, a successful businessman whose family was destroyed by the disappearance of his daughter, Jessie. As Jeremy, the narrator utilizes his photographic memory to restart the investigation into Jessie's disappearance, working to uncover a dark conspiracy before he must move on to his next host. Stober's thriller is engaging and his premise which will remind readers of TV's Quantum Leap is fascinating. Although some elements of the plot strain the bounds of credulity, tight prose and a winning concept make for an entertaining read.
This book clicked with me
Original premise...click. Thought provoking....click. Can't put it down....click. A Fast paced page turner that throws the reader into a parents worst nightmare. Your child goes mssing. And police are unable to solve the crime. Hiding in plain site, the villain taunts the victims. Jumping into the fray, Jeremy offers new hope and a original new way to cracking the case. You'll be begging for a sequel.
A page turner!
This is one of those books which once you start, it's very hard to put down. The further into the plot you get, the less likely that you will even try.
The premise of "jumping" is extremely clever and the story you are drawn into is very compelling. Not wanting to give away the plot, I'll simply say that this book reveals the mystery surrounding one event, but with the primary character having this unusual ability, it opens up the possibility of a series of follow up books. I'm very much hoping Mr. Stober will follow up with another great read. Better yet, a series of them.
Keeps you wanting more.
Great plot and character development.
