A second chance fake marriage of convenience
What do you get when you mix a second chance romance with a fake marriage of convenience? You get this rocky journey between Travis Holloway and Riley George. I love a second chance, and any book with that at the heart of the story can pretty much do no wrong with me. It was easy to see the connection between them. No matter how much pain and hurt they were harboring, they still went out of their way to make things easier for the other. While my drama-loving self revelled in the angst on the page, I wanted to feel just a little bit more spark between our leading couple. The passion we see between Travis and Riley is of a much quieter sort and felt like it was very focused around family. In regards to the overall mystery that has flowed through the books of this series, I can’t resist crowing “I knew it!” However, I’m sad to see this series come to an end. I’ve enjoyed getting to know these characters and see them heal and grow.
