Kadosh

Within an extremist Jewish community, sealed off from the outside world and governed by fear and blind obedience, a love is born between a boy and a girl. It is a quiet, innocent love, one that does not seek to rebel, only to exist. When the community discovers it, it responds swiftly and cruelly: separating them, punishing them, erasing all trace of what was. Life inside the sect is harsh and suffocating, and the individual is expected to surrender the self for the sake of the collective. Yet even when bodies are torn apart, and every path is sealed, love refuses to die. It changes form, surviving in memory, in longing, and in the fragile hope for another life.
