In the heart of war-torn Syria, Kafa's story begins not with peace, but with displacement, endurance, and an unyielding will to protect her children. Born into a culture that viewed her very existence as an unwanted burden, her name—meaning "Enough"—was given to her in the hope that her family would bear no more daughters. From a childhood spent in the harsh wilderness to a marriage defined by neglect, hardship, and betrayal, Kafa grew up surrounded by walls built by societal expectations and historical trauma.  

When war erupts, forcing her to flee across checkpoints and through treacherous wilderness into refugee camps, Kafa finds herself facing a deeper struggle: the war within her own soul. Stranded in a camp and attempting to rebuild a life out of thread, food rations, and dust, she crosses paths with Sarah, an American psychologist conducting interviews with displaced survivors.
