Kangaroo Island

Kangaroo Island is renowned for its native wildlife — the koalas are disease-free, it is home to one of Australia's rarest marsupials as well as the highly endangered Glossy Black Cockatoo subspecies.



In January 2020, Kangaroo Island had the worst bushfires in its history which burnt across close to half of the Island, threatening the extinction are these, and many other important species.
