Kharmpurgras Kingdom

Far too young for an already tragic life, Filson Thistlewaite had fallen deep into despair well before her tenth birthday. Forced to endure the party her mother had thrown for her, in a desperate attempt to escape childhood camaraderie, she ducks into an old hope chest left to her by her grandparents.

After drifting off, she awakens into a strange world full of darkness, odd creatures, and sordid challenges seemingly designed to keep her from making it back home. To a life she had utterly despised. At least right up until the moment it was taken away from her.

Throughout her adventure of painful truths, self-discovery, overwhelming fear, and exuberant joy, Filson discovers strengths she never knew she had as the bizarre journey forces her into an unpredictable season of growth brought on by such wild experiences.

Assuming, that is, that she can survive the path through that strange dark land, back into the light, only to have to delve back into the darkness one more time as her only means of finally meeting the one woman who can help the young girl finally reunite and reconcile with the mother she’d long taken for granted.
