Those in their turn deny actions they or their assets carry out. An asset is a person, body or private company that is not a member of one of the services but does carry out tasks for them. Again this provides a level of 'Hands-Off' detachment. A modern day Flashman, this is the personal story of one of those shadowy and disposable characters.
