Knitted Glass

A collection of Art glass bowls by artist Carol Milne, which are knitted in wax and then cast in lead crystal. Unlike fiber knitting where we notice the surface and feel of the material, the emphasis shifts to the structure of the material itself. We notice the twisting interconnection between the stitches, the deepening of color where the stitches overlap, and the spaces between the stitches.
