Publisher Description

An actress from Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre Company is found dead in the streets of London. She has been ripped open in the style of the first strange Jack the Ripper murder. Next to her body lies a manuscript on Shakespeare written by Dr. Arden James, a young American Drama professor who has just accepted a position with Kings College, London. Her first task is to guide Charlie Leder, an unfocused American college student in the UK on a prize Drama Scholarship, in his daunting task of writing a play about Jack the Ripper. The two find themselves thrown into a series of copycat Ripper murders.

As Actresses keep dying, they find that the key to the mystery lies in Arden’s book, Symbolism in Shakespeare. The two Americans are forced down a path lined with mysterious secrets involving an ancient Brotherhood. Using only the connections between the Brotherhood, Shakespeare, and Jack the Ripper, Arden and Charlie find themselves in each other as they work together to solve the crimes. But what is the truth? And can they find that truth before it’s too late? As it becomes apparent that Arden is meant to be the last victim, they rush to save themselves, lest this new Ripper finds them.
