Description de l’éditeur
First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes baby in a baby carriage. Just not necessarily in that order. . . .
Braxton: I should probably be dead or in jail right now. Instead, thanks to some tough love, I worked my ass off and now I own a string of tattoo parlors throughout the Pacific Northwest. And yet the one thing I’ve always wanted—a family—still seems out of reach. When my best friend gets married, I’m just hoping to blow off some steam with the super-hot maid of honor. But after Cara Thompson tracks me down to tell me she’s pregnant, she’s more surprised than I am when I tell her I’m all in.
Cara: For the first time in my life, I’m living for myself—not for my parents and their ridiculous expectations. I gave up on my MBA, dropped out of the Ivy League, and moved to Portland to pursue my dream of becoming an artist. And what’s the first thing I do? Get knocked up. For a tatted-up sex god, Braxton Henley seems way too eager to “be there for me.” Is this guy serious? Maybe. He sure is patient. Because he won’t back down until I admit what I know in my heart: that our one night stand might’ve led me to the one.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Cara Thompson's first ever one-night stand with the best man at her best friend's wedding results in an unexpected pregnancy and an unlikely love affair in Lynn's sweet but slight second Crazy Love contemporary (after Fake Wife). Cara recently cut ties with her wealthy, controlling parents and is trying to build a career as an independent artist, but she knows she wants to keep the baby. She tracks down the father, Braxton a heavily tattooed guy from the wrong side of town and is shocked when he supports her decision and turns out to be well-off. Braxton's tumultuous upbringing was only mitigated by a father-figure neighbor, and he's eager to have a real family of his own. The pair bond through the pregnancy, working through Cara's "nine-month trip to Hormonal Crazy Town" and terrible nausea, and enter into a tentative romantic relationship, but both are hesitant to reveal the depth of their feelings for fear of being hurt. This slim romance is, at its heart, a story about what makes a family.

Totally enjoyed
This was a sweet, wonderful story of a one night stand turning into a chance at forever. After their best friends wedding, the best man & maid of honour agree to keep the party going. What happens next changes both of their lives. Now they have to get to know each other & figure out how to proceed with their relationship. Throw in a jealous friend & totally inappropriate parents who can’t seem to deal with anyone not on their elite level & you have just the right amount of angst to keep you wanting more. The characters of Cara & Braxton were both strong, with Braxton’s dark & sexy a perfect match to Cara’s light & sweet. I appreciated how the author Stacey Lynn created the character of Braxton with heart & soul & a sense of decency when approached by Cara with their impending life change. This book made me laugh, made me sigh, made me cry & definitely made me cheer for their happiness. Definitely recommend. I voluntarily reviewed this book from Net Galley.
4 1/2 Stars!
Braxton and Cara hooked up at their friends wedding and a few weeks later, Cara finds out she's pregnant. She knows she has to tell Braxton ... eventually. Cara's scared he won't even remember her and think she's trying to rope him in. Braxton thought he was Cara's dirty little secret and that she only wanted him that one night. But when he finds out that was not the case and she is pregnant with his child, he doesn't know what to believe.
This is a cute romance that will win your heart over. Both Braxton and Cara were very likable characters and it didn't take long for me to fall in love with them. The only thing was that I didn't think the cover represented Braxton AT ALL. When I read a book, if there are people on the front of it I assume that is what the characters looks like ... but that is so not the case here. In the book Braxton had short black hair and has tattoos all over his torso, arms and neck ... and the guy on the cover doesn't even have one tattoo. I know that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover because it's what inside that counts ... and this book has a GREAT inside!
