Kumihimo Textile Jewellery

Kumihimo textile jewellery takes the reader through the equipment and process of creating a basic Zig - Zag braid. The braid is adapted and altered in a variety of ways, by either yarn choice, variations of moves and additions after braiding to alter it both visually and structurally. These multiples of hundreds of braid variations form the basis of over 50 finished pieces of textile jewellery, which are showcased in the 35 full page colour samples. This one simple braid provides both the beginner and experienced braider with a unique approach to creating a braid that can be transformed into unique textile jewellery.
