Publisher Description
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "A perfect contemporary romance for fans of Colleen Hoover and Samantha Young. When life takes an unexpected detour, and Emma's heart is laid bare, her best friend's brother steps in to prove all is not lost in this emotional New York romance from bestselling and award-winning author Lydia Michaels."
He was always off-limits. Until the night he wasn't.
I always imagined my wedding day wrapped in pearls and perfection. Instead, it got buried under secrets and lies.
Riley Hawthorne, my best friend's hot and off-limits brother, is infuriatingly gorgeous, emotionally unavailable, and exactly the kind of complication I don't need. He's never looked twice at me—until everything falls apart and he's the only one around to pick up the pieces of my broken heart.
One night. One reckless decision. And suddenly, we're lying to everyone we love. We agreed to keep it casual because I know Riley doesn't do serious, but when life takes an unpredictable turn, we stumble into something real and raw that neither of us saw coming.
Now, Riley's the one holding on harder than ever before—even if it costs him everything in the end.
Customer Reviews
Heart-wrenching, passionate perfection!
This book will rip your heart to pieces before putting it back together in the most incredible way. Lydia Michaels is a master storyteller who has created true beauty out of some of life's ugliest moments. Although it starts out light and humorous, this is no typical romance. Be prepared for a rollercoaster of emotion.
Unexpected
"Unlike any other romance you've read before". This was what a trusted friend told me about La Vie en Rose.
And so, I dove in prepared for "something" but I didn't know what...
Truly a love story at its core; Vie en Rose isn't your typical romance, and thank goodness for that. There is no set of rules. This story chronicles the start of a relationship and all the sorrows and triumphs that are a part of genuine love. It'll tug at your heartstrings, and just when you think the strings might snap, it tugs a bit more.
** Beware, this one deals with cancer and might be hard to read for some.**
