Laigh Flichts and Humorous Fancies

In 1882 Alexander Orr privately published Laigh Flichts and Humorous Fancies, a compilation of his published and unpublished poetry works.  Many of the poems in the book had already been printed, over a number of years, mostly in the Glasgow press (the Glasgow Weekly Mail in particular). These poems are mainly written in Scots and give a picture of life and work in the Glasgow area in Victorian times.  A glossary is included to provide the Standard English version of Scots words.
