Lamentations of an Idealistic Individual

The poems found inside these pages come from my life experience.They are varied, just as my life has been. Some are happy, some are sad, someare uplifting and some are dark. No matter whether they are happy or sador fi lled with joy or pain, they are all true. No, not all of the subject matterare things I have gone through in my own life but I have always had theremarkable ability to empathize with others. Some of these poems are a directresult of me hearing other people talk about their experiences and me puttingmyself in their shoes. Even though I havent gone through some of this stuffmyself, every single line on every single page is honest. It is all how I felt inthose moments when I wrote them. The seed of creativity came to me fromoutside sources and I just had to let it grow into something powerful andbeautiful. There is simply no better feeling in the world than to stand backand see what was created from a tiny seed of inspiration.
