Few individuals have the affinity to make history without even trying. Some feel a sense of responsibility, some have a deep desire to make things better for the less fortunate, others have obscure motives. Leaders must study historical events, to make better decisions for the people they serve, and to avoid unwanted consequences; there's no reason to make the same mistakes twice.
