Publisher Description

Many young people feel like the cost of living today keeps them from enjoying the benefits their parents and grandparents had: a house, two cars, money for vacations, and a comfortable retirement with a pension plan. Even with a university degree and a good paying job, it may seem impossible to get ahead financially. Most can’t keep up with inflation. The cards are stacked against them, right?

Maybe there’s a way out of that situation.

More and more people are looking for alternate ways of making money because their regular jobs just aren’t cutting it. In Learn 2 Invest Kid, the Toor family shows how investing in stocks is a viable way of creating personal wealth. In using superheroes as examples, they have found a unique way of presenting complex investment ideas. Through it all, they maintain that the key to success is investing in blue-chip, dividend-paying stocks. Did you know that most Canadian banks have paid consistent & growing dividends for more than 150 years? What do you think happened to their stock prices?

Investing in stocks doesn’t have to be scary. It can allow young people today to take control of their lives and build the kind of future they always hoped for. Within the pages of this book, investment concepts are broken down and analyzed; successes and failures are discussed; and research and patience are emphasized. Many examples are used to help prepare the reader for the sometimes bumpy road of investing. There are two ways to make money off blue-chip dividend-paying stocks: Capital Appreciation and Dividends. That’s what this book is about.

With simple and clear language, Learn 2 Invest Kid will help people gain confidence and invest like a superhero.

Must have book!!!

I enjoyed reading Learn 2 Invest Kid: The first book you should read if you want to invest in blue chip dividend paying stocks. This is not taught in schools by Young Guns authors Pavi, Jaiden and Pravin. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn more about investing. I also, would recommend this book to anyone wanting to see how Young Guns was formed and established. I have had the opportunity to see all the great work Young Guns Club has been doing around our Community and beyond. Many youth (including mine) have benefited from their generosity and support with sports, and advocacy of health and fitness, to name just a few.

I will share some of my fav quotes but to gain a deeper understanding you can buy the book online or in hard copy. This is a great book for anyone wanting to invest and get more educated in this topic. Sports enthusiasts in general will be inspired by the framework set by Pavi and his two sons Jaiden and Pravin. Lastly, I personally loved the way they related some concepts to superheroes which made it even more enjoyable and fun read.

“I looked around and couldn’t find any weightlifting programs for teenagers…We decided to strike out on our own and reserve gym space at local recreation center. We hired a personal trainer and encouraged kids from my son’s basketball team to take part. It was free for the youth as we didn’t want cost to be a barrier for the kids…. We started the program Young Guns in September 2019…”

“Start small, like buying a few shares in companies you know. Some shares as cheap as $1. You should know at basic level how those companies make money… As we mentioned before, you will either make money in the beginning or you will learn some valuable lessons for next time.”

“In Ironman, Tony Stark was captured and kept in a cave for three months. After escaping, he was seen in his private jet and driving in his Audi to a press conference. Most people would lose their house and car if they didn’t make any money for three months. Even doctors and lawyers must work to maintain their lifestyles. Look at what happened to Dr. Strange after his hands were crushed in a car accident… He quickly went from living the high life in New York City to being broke and then beaten by petty thieves in Nepal."
