Compelling characters and story
This is a very hot and steamy book that includes some danger and suspense to make it more exciting. Kristen is a recently divorced author who wants to know more about the BDSM lifestyle for an upcoming book and Devon, a former SEAL now security expert and co-owner of an elite BDSM club, is more than happy to tutor her. What is supposed to be a weekend deal turns into much more, even for Devon who doesn’t do relationships. Neither expected to catch feelings or to have to deal with a killer who has targeted Devon and his friends. The chemistry between Devon and Kristen is fiery and their connection unexpectedly strong. He is determined to protect Kristen, even if it means sending her away. Their story is fast-paced, fascinating and compelling.

One of the best books I have read in years
This is one of the best books I have read in forever. Well thought out. Characters that you can't help but love. Characters stay true to themselves all the way through.
I also have the book in Audio - which my dogs love because we walk longer. I have read and listened multiple time as I love the writing and the characters so much.
I love Samantha's writing style - She rocks!.

Leather and Lace
It felt a little rushed. The scene with the car and bridge felt like it was written separately. The characters didn’t feel like they were in the scene just watching it in tv.
Plus Devon seems to have plans in his head for their relationship that he doesn’t share with anyone including his girlfriend. She just seems to be a pet than a girlfriend.
