LEO THE BRAVE is a fantasy-adventure story with subtle educational overtones.

All of a sudden, with no warning, the riptide was approaching the 3 little boys on their boogie boards. No one saw it or felt it until it was too late. The boys were being carried off as their parents and lifeguards looked on in horror. They were being dragged down the beach so fast they were out of sight before anyone could react. Within moments, one boogie board floated ashore empty. "Not to worry, LEO will save the day.

Ellen Tesler has had many years teaching youngsters and watching their wide-eyed excitement with good stories well-told. LEO THE BRAVE is her first attempt to share that wonderful experience more broadly. She lives in New York City and Ship Bottom, New Jersey.
