Adam, heir to a fortune, can't shake the feeling his life should mean something. His solution—a marketing job at Bland Corporation, where he falls for the boss's daughter, Jenny. But her father, Bruce, has other plans.

While developing Bland's new ad campaign, Adam meets Claire, a teenager obsessed with an idea no one believes in—time travel. Meanwhile, Bruce plots to replace his junior executive until Del, a disgraced colleague, uncovers the scheme, which costs him his life. Shattered, Adam runs amok. Ashamed to face Jenny, he flees to his uncle's estate in the Hudson Valley.

There, behind a locked barn door, the mad scientist and an assistant keep a terrible secret—a severed head that can control minds. Then a murder rocks Jenny's family, and Adam's vengeful half-brother goes after the family fortune. Adam's chances of saving the only woman he's ever loved are running out fast.
