Lewis H. Latimer

Lewis H. Latimer was an amazing man. The son of slaves, he was a self-taught American inventor and draftsman, and a colleague of Alexander Bell, Hiram Maxim and Thomas Edison. During his lifetime, Lewis had seven patents credited to his name. He was a founding member of the Edison Pioneers, a group of Edison’s close friends and colleagues.
